Teds was born in the early days of parenthood, when we found ourselves surrounded by beige and thinking… where did all the colour go?!

We wanted to destroy the beige mum era and bring a little more fun, colour and personality back into kids clothing. We have always loved nostalgic overalls! the kind that instantly takes you back to being little, but we found them surprisingly hard to get our hands on. So, instead of searching for the perfect pair, we decided to create our own.

And so, Teds was born.

Teds is named after our son, Teddy, who was the little inspiration behind it all. What started as a love for colourful, nostalgic clothing quickly became something much bigger! A brand dedicated to creating fun, wearable pieces that let kids be kids.

We really believe childhood is about getting outside, playing, adventuring and letting imaginations run wild. Kids should be free to climb trees, run through the grass, make mud pies, explore the backyard and come home covered in evidence of a good day.

That’s why we wanted to create overalls that not only look cool and capture those nostalgic childhood vibes, but are actually made for childhood too. Pieces that are comfortable enough to play in, strong enough to keep up with little adventurers and durable enough to handle the inevitable grass stains, dirt and everything else they get themselves into. We want our clothes to be lived in, not carefully kept.

Not long after launching, we made the decision to become a faceless brand. As parents, we learnt more about the importance of keeping our little ones off the internet and knew we wanted Teds to reflect that. We’re incredibly proud to protect the privacy of the little people who wear our clothes and to create a brand where the clothes can take centre stage, not the children wearing them.

Every Teds piece is crafted from 100% cotton, chosen for its comfort, durability and ability to keep up with little adventures. We design with real childhood in mind, clothes that can be worn, played in, climbed in, stained, washed and worn all over again.

At Teds, our goal is simple: bring colour back, celebrate childhood and make clothes that can keep up with it.

Because childhood isn't meant to be beige, and neither are the clothes.
